For residence who want to obtain an Insurance Adjuster License, we highly suggest retaining a nonresident license and designating Texas as your home state (DHS) Texas nonresident license is our recommendation for adjusters from non-licensing states because of the reciprocity with all other states.
Here are the states that offer reciprocal licenses to Texas Adjusters
Texas nonresident DHS (Designated Home State) license is our recommendation for non-licensing states. Complete the Adjuster Training Institutes 40-hr pre-licensing course certified through the Texas Department of Insurance and pass the included exam and you are qualified to apply for Texas All Lines Adjuster license. No additional coursework or testing required.
ANYONE WHO RECEIVES A TEXAS ADJUSTER LICENSE WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW THE TEXAS LAW FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION OF 24 CE HOURS WITHIN A 2 YEAR PERIOD.
